Kopco's
Press Department consists of 28 offset units and 12 cold web units. The
lines are maintained and
operated by experienced and trained professionals. Kopco prides itself on
having a dedicated machine shop and highly experienced repairmen. In recent years, the Kopco Press Department has installed
five press lines, rebuilt three press lines, and manufactured movable
press overheads, gate folders, and ribbon decks. Kopco presses
include:
| -Six press lines
consisting of five heatset, with 22.75" and 21.5" cutoff
available, and one open-web presses. |
| -Heatset presses are made
up of a four unit Harris NCH 400, a four unit Harris
700, an eight unit Process King and a four unit Harris NCH 500 with
fully automated color registering system and ink and water density
controls, and an 8 unit Harris v25.. Heatset products can contain an unlimited number of
magazine format pages with full color. |
| -Open-web presses consists
of a twelve unit Daily King with inline
trimmer |
| -Kopco presses can print
several unique configurations, including gatefolds, backwraps, and
hangouts, on a variety of paper grades, including newsprint, Hibrite,
Offset Super Calindered, and coated stocks. |
| -Magazines are printed
and bound with glue and inline trim or stitch-and-trim binding. |
